Ugode Mercedes Benz NTG5.0 Android Screen Display Post-installation setup and resolution of common problems

Some people don’t know how to set up their Android screen after installing it, so in order to have a perfect experience, today I will tell you how to set it up and how to solve the problems you encounter in using it.

For “No signal” displayed in NTG system after installation
Please check the following:
1. Please check if the optic fiber is relocated correctly. https://youtu.be/XEd1lTV1Cjc — Optic cables relocation.

2. Please check the wiring connection of screen and LVDS plug.
3. Please double check the connection of android plug to original radio to make sure it is well connected.
4. Please make sure the original radio is powered on and working well.
if all the above are tested, please not remove android cable connection, and connect the LVDS plug to OEM screen and check if it works .
if it works, please check the android factory setting(code is 2018) to check if the “CAN Protocol” chosen is NTG5.0

“Car Display” Option setting
If the OEM screen is showing flickering or not full size, need to choose the correct Car Display Option in factory settings (password is 2018)->Car display, according NTG system and original screen size (NTG5 7inch or NTG5 8inch),ignore the car model, because there are too many models. refer to https://youtu.be/S18XlkH97IE

Rear camera setting:
If rear camera not works, please check if it is OE camera, need to choose OE camera in camera type in android setting , System->Camera Selection->OEM Camera

If the OEM is selected and still not working, please try all option in Factory setting->Vehicle->gear Selection to check which one makes the camera work

Aux Setting
If no sound from Android:
No.1Check connection of fiber cables(if you car has fiber cables, need to relocate it to android plugs while installation. refer to https://youtu.be/XEd1lTV1Cjc), and make sure USB box is plugged in AUX USB port on the car.
No.2 Check whether the CD can be turned on and whether the display is normal
No.3Go to Original NTG menu-media-USB/AUX sources, Check if the following AUX connection icon and music playback interface appear, if not show, check No.1 and No.2 steps again.

No.4 check AUX switching mode
AUX Auto switching mode(refer to https://youtu.be/8S28ICb4WC4)
1.Factory setting->code”2018″->choose AUX switching mode to “Automatic”

2. Long press “*”button next to controller, access to NTG systems as below photo, check the USB position, the position as shown is 5,also you change the position from 0 1 2 3…,some car from 1 2 3….

3. GO to Android Setting->System->Aux Position, Change the Aux Position 1 option value to 5(note:not Aux Position 2 option), the value is based on the position you set.

4. Play music or video, sound comes out

AUX Manual switching mode:
1.Factory setting->code”2018″->Vehicle->AUX Switching modes->choose “Manual”

2. switch to NTG system, choose “AUX”, then switch to Android to play music or video, sound comes out.

Carplay and Android Auto
If use Carplay, please delete phone Bluetooth record first, turn on phone WIFI, matching Bluetooth for Android and mobile phones only, then it will go to Carplay menu(Phone-link in menu or z-link in app)
When use Carplay, WIFI and Bluetooth will be closed, that it’s correct. Refer to https://youtu.be/SqNyvvn4Jjw
