Some customers have purchased UGODE Android screens for Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi vehicles, which feature wireless CarPlay and Android Auto functionality. After receiving the system software, they are unsure how to update it.
Here are the steps for updating the system software.
1. Copy the system update file “update13.zip,” “update13_2.zip,” “update13_H.zip,” “update13_HdBT.zip,” or “update14_HdBT.zip” to the root directory of the USB drive. Do not unzip it.
Note: Since the core board versions vary, the file names for the updates will also differ. The files we have provided are already named correctly; please do not change the file names.
2. Insert the USB flash into the USB port of your Android screen.
3. In about 3 seconds, a window will pop up, select “Update”.
4. The Android machine will enter the update state and go to the update menu (Note: Do not turn off the engine and turn off the power while updating).
5. When the update is complete, the system will reboot, then just remove the USB flash memory.
