Some customers who purchased UGODE’s Audi Android screen with wireless carplay and Android Auto features encountered a problem with the screen not making any sound during installation.
The following explains how to resolve this issue.
1.The sound from the Android screen needs to be transmitted to the original CD player through the AUX channel and then amplified by the original CD player. Therefore, you must select “AUX” in the original multimedia menu and then return to the Android mode to hear the sound.
2.If the original CD player is in AUX mode and the Android interface still has no sound, please plug the “AUDIO OUT” cable on the Android cable into the original car’s AUX port.
3.Some Audi models may not have the “AUX” option under the multimedia menu. You need to connect the AMI cable to display AUX. The original AMI port is usually in the co-pilot storage box, and some are in the co-pilot box, so you need to find it.
4. For 2005-2009 Audi A6 and 2006-2009 Audi Q7 models that don’t have AUX, even connecting an AMI cable won’t work. You’ll need to visit a local tuning shop to activate the AUX function or install a fiber optic box to resolve the audio issue.
5. Most 2010-2011 Audi A6 and 2010-2015 Audi Q7 models have AUX, and connecting an AMI cable will detect the AUX function. However, a very small number of models lack AUX. For these models, you can also visit a local tuning shop to activate the AUX function or install a fiber optic box to resolve the audio issue.
